Ep.146 Lake Shawnee Amusement Park

Well it feels like forever since we've been back, but Kelsey's back from vacation, so now we're here, and we hope we don't disappoint. We haven't talked ghosts in a while, and you can tell by the longer episode (sorry). We're dealing with another location that claims to be one of the most haunted in the US, possibly the world, and honestly, this is one of the largest body counts we've had in an episode. Ep.145 Duluth Minnesota

We're feeling at home this week back in the Midwest, this time in Duluth Minnesota. A ship, turned attraction, turned haunted house actually has some haunted history to it with an unfortunately gruesome death. Are the ships namesake, his wife, and poor William still hanging around today? Let's see what the investigators have to say.

How could a state have two state capitols? Well, Louisiana does, and wouldn't you know it they both have seriously dark pasts and potential paranormal activity. One part ghosts, one part history lessons, these locations have a little something for everyone.

Ep.143 Brookdale Lodge

We finally did it everyone, our first episode in our new studio! There's still some work to be done, but we hope eventfully all of it will come together soon. But for now, we find ourselves at the Brookdale Lodge in Brookdale California. This one honestly ends up a little bit somber, so that stinks, but it's still a pretty good location, and a good one to break the new studio in wit, we'd say.

Ep.142 Crawfordsville/Linden

Well, we sure did travel for this months location, but sometimes some legends are better left to the imagination, right?.. Well, lore may say that Linden has one of the spookier sounding paranormal hot spots that we've seen on paper, but turns out lore is sometimes no more than that. But our fruitless efforts took us on a trip to discuss these legends with the locals, and we still got some good stories out of it. Maybe even a location for next time. Who would've thought?

Ep.141 The Allen House

This week we're taking you all to Monticello, Arkansas to investigate a house with a pretty sad backstory. The Allen family couldn't seem to catch a break, and as each family member passed it seemed that their spirits always seemed to end up back at home. But one of the saddest stories also holds one of the most active spirits; the spirit of LaDell Allen. Overcome with the pain of lost love , she took her own life, and it seems she may still be looking for that love even in the afterlife.

Ep.140 The Kasha House of Kaimuki

Given the finnicky weather we've been having in the Midwest lately, we're glad to be living vicariously through our location today, Honolulu, Hawaii. According to our studies, if you ask the locals, it seems like everywhere you turn there is another haunted location, but we found one that brings it back to our roots of local lore and legend. Stories that are so spooky they start to blend reality with illusion. Stories stretched across decades, even centuries, but luckily not being lost to time. If you ask us this is a pretty good one, even if we're sometimes a mess. So buckle up.

Ep.139 St. James Hotel

Honestly, we were a little worried about New Mexico delivering a good old fashioned haunted location, but of course they delivered. We always love a good haunted hotel, but the good news and bad news of this one is one of the rooms of the hotel is so haunted, they have prohibited access to it from guests. Even going as far as to padlock the room. So what can be so scary that they have to lock the patrons out, or in this case, keep the bad spirits locked in? Listen to find out for yourself.

This month our travels brought us a little closer to home as we investigated the (fairly) newly opened location of the Historic Stark Saloon in Rosedale, Indiana. We'd be lying if we said we didn't initially leave this place feeling a bit skeptical, but upon further review and reflection, it seems there may be more here than we initially realized. Twin Tangent 11: Current Fixations

We always love when a tangent rolls along, then we have a dedicated time and space to actually go off topic, but still stay on topic, you know? Anyway, when we're not recording this podcast we fill our time with other fixations, and sometimes you're just so immersed in those fixations that you need to tell the world know about them.
